St. Patrick’s Old Cathedral, 1809-2015

banner image exteriorCreated by NYU graduate student Jennifer Joyce, The Evolution of an American Church: St. Patrick’s Old Cathedral, 1809-2015 details the history of the Basilica of St. Patrick’s Old Cathedral as a church, but also as a Catholic, immigrant community in an evolving society.  Jennifer has created an exhibit that traces the Old Cathedral from it’s earliest days as the second Catholic Church in New York City through the present, as it continues to serve as a vibrant center for both the local community and Catholics throughout the city.
